The brackets for the TSSAA Girls Basketball State Tournaments are set.
Elizabethton and Hampton now know their path for a gold ball in Murfreesboro as the TSSAA unveiled the brackets for the BlueCross Basketball Championships on Sunday morning.
A blind draw was held to determine the brackets.
The tournament will be held inside the Murphy Center on the campus of Middle Tennessee State University.
In Class 3A, Elizabethton will open the tournament against Dyersburg on Tuesday, March 7 at 1:15 CT/2:15ET.
The Lady Trojans earned a spot in the tournament by defeating Melrose 95-51 in the sectional game and enter the tournament with an 18-12 record.
The winner of the Elizabethton and Dyersburg game will take on the winner of the Upperman and J. South Side quarterfinal on Thursday, March 9 at 6p CT/7p ET in the semifinals.
The other quarterfinal matchups include Greeneville taking on Livingston Academy while South Gibson is slated to take on Dyer County.
In Class A, the Lady Bulldogs will open the tournament against Pickett County at 1:15 CT/2:15 ET. The Lady Bobcats defeated Whitwell in a thrilling 51-48 win in the sectional round to advance to Murfreesboro.
The winner will advance to Friday’s semifinal against the winner of Dresden and Wayne County on Friday at 2:45 CT/3:45 ET.
The bottom part of the bracket will see Van Buren County and North Greene square off in one quarterfinal while Peabody and McKenzie will face off in the other.
