Bulldogs fall short to South Greene

The Bulldogs were unable to keep the offensive attack from Monday going.

Hampton came up short 3-1 against South Greene on Tuesday – a day after scoring 10 runs against the Rebels.

The Bulldogs moved to 3-1 on the year.

Hampton saw the Rebels take an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. The Bulldogs evened the score at 1-1 after Wyatt Lyons scored off a Nash Eryasa single. South Greene, however, took the lead with two runs in the fifth inning.

The Bulldogs got the tying runs on base in the sixth, but were unable to plate the runs.

Lyons led the Bulldogs with a  2-for-2 performance at the plate.
