Bulldogs offense named Unit of the Week

In a battle of unbeaten, one offensive unit made all the difference.

Powered by a strong offensive line effort, the Hampton Bulldogs offense powered past Sullivan North, and has been named the Applebee’s of Elizabethton Unit of the Week.

The offensive line jump started an offensive attack that saw the game plan changed due to the rainy weather. Hampton finished the game with 384 rushing yards, averaging 8.3 yards per carry.

That proved to be the difference as the Bulldogs led 42-9 entering the final quarter before Sullivan North scored two late touchdowns.

For the year, the Hampton offense is averaging just under 50 points per game.

The Bulldogs are 7-0 on the season, and host South Greene on Friday night.
