Hampton made the most of the return to the football field.
The Bulldogs jumped out early and rolled to a 38-0 victory over West Greene on the road in Region 1-2A action.
It was all Hampton from the opening kick.
Dom Burleson opened the scoring two and half minutes into the game as he scored on a short run to give Hampton an 8-0 lead. After the Bulldog defense forced West Greene off the field in a three-and-out, HHS went back to work and saw Isaiah Belcher scored on a seven-yard run to take a 16-0 lead into the second quarter.
Hampton continued to hold the momentum in the second quarter as Maddux Wilson scored on a 28-yard quarterback keeper as HHS pushed the lead to 24-0.
The Bulldog defense continued to stymie the West Greene offense, and Hampton took a 32-0 lead into the half when Belcher scored on a six-yard run and Burleson added the two-point conversion.
In the second half, Burleson added a Hampton touchdown, while Kaden Jones nabbed an interception for the Bulldogs.
Burleson led Hampton with 199 yards rushing.
