A short-handed Cloudland team was unable to keep pace with Oliver Springs on Friday night.
The ‘Landers fell 65-6 to Oliver Springs in the opening round of the Class A playoffs on the road. Cloudland’s season came to a close with the loss.
The ‘Landers saw Oliver Springs jump out to a quick lead as the Bobcats held a 21-0 lead after a quarter of play.
Cloudland got on the board in the second quarter as Kingston Cole hit Jacob Stinnett on a screen pass. The ‘Landers, however, were unable to mount a rally as Oliver Springs reeled off 23 points in the final six minutes of the second quarter to take a 51-6 lead at the half.
Cloudland continued to battle in the second half but was unable to get back on the board.
