An outstanding defensive performance claimed this week’s Climate Controllers Player of the Week award.
Cloudland’s Auston Caraway has been selected as the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for Week 9 after his performance at Cosby.
On the defensive side of the ball, Caraway set the tone early as he intercepted an Eagle pass and returned it 57 yards for the pick-six score. Caraway struck again in the second quarter with his second interception returned for a touchdown – this one from 25 yards out.
In addition to the two pick sixes, Caraway provided several tackles for the ‘Lander defense and proved to be a key blocker on the offensive side of the ball.
Caraway joins teammate Kyle Birchfield as Climate Controllers Player of the Week selections this season. Other honorees include Joseph Sowards (Happy Valley), Aidan Paul (Happy Valley), Dylan Trivett (Hampton), Rhett Slagle (Elizabethton), AJ Greenless (Unaka), and Dom Burleson (Hampton).
Caraway and company are set to travel to North Carolina foe R-S Central on Friday night.
