Elizabethton and Hampton continued to be ranked in the Tennessee AP Prep Football poll.
The Cyclones remained ranked No. 1, while the Bulldogs came in at No. 7 this week.
In Class 4A, Elizabethton tallied 13-of-15 first-place votes to remain in the top spot. The Cyclones tallied 146 points – 10 points ahead of No. 2 Hardin County who received the other two first-place votes.
Tullahoma, Marshall County, and East Hamilton rounded out the top five. EHS, who was off last Friday after Union County was forced to cancel due to COVID-19, will face No. 10 Greeneville on Friday night in a key Region 1-4A matchup.
In Class 2A, Hampton held steady at No. 7 with 66 points. The Bulldogs, who dispatched Cloudland on Friday night, recorded one first-place vote in the poll.
Peabody reminded in the No. 1 slot with 13-of-15 first-place votes. There was no movement in the top seven teams in this week’s poll.
Hampton is set to travel to No. 6 South Greene on Friday night in a crucial Region 1-AA clash.
