Elizabethton climbed a spot in this week’s Tennessee AP Prep Football poll after Week 4 play. Two county teams – Cloudland and Hampton – also received votes in their respective classes.
In Class 4A, Elizabethton climbed a spot into a tie for No. 2 with 136 points after dispatching Cherokee on Sunday. The Cyclones tied for the No. 2 spot with Upperman.
Pearl-Cohn held steady in the No. 1 spot with 15-of-18 first-place votes. Greeneville fell from No. 2 to No. 4 with Hardin County coming in at No. 5.
Hampton received votes in Class 2A, while Cloudland also received votes in Class A.
