Elizabethton scored early and never looked back.
The Cyclones rolled to a 47-7 victory over Pigeon Forge on Friday night to move to 5-1 overall with their fifth straight victory.
Sophomore Corey Russell opened the game in style as he took the opening kick back for a 91-yard touchdown. After the Cyclone defense held strong, Carter Everett hit Conner Johnson for a 5-yard touchdown pass. The duo got together again for a 65-yard touchdown to give EHS a 21-0 lead at the ned of the first quarter.
Elizabethton opened the second quarter scoring when Jacob Turner recorded a 42-yard touchdown off an Everett pass.
Russell struck again as scored on a fake punt with a 54-yard run for the touchdown. He also added another score as he ran into the end zone from eight yards out as the Cyclones held a 40-0 advantage at the half.
Everett found Keelan Hall for a 26-yard touchdown to cap off the Cyclone scoring in the third quarter.
Everett went 11-of-16 with 229 yards passing. Russell had 13 carries for 125 yards and recorded 266 all-purpose yards.
Johnson finished the game with 132 yards on six catches.
