It was a successful homecoming for Elizabethton on Friday.
The Cyclones celebrated with a 34-7 victory over Northview Academy at Citizens Bank Stadium.
After the EHS defense forced a punt to open the game, Braylon Britt caught a Rhett Slagle pass for a 28-yard touchdown to open the scoring.
The Cyclone defense came up big on the next drive as Justius Wallin recovered a Northview fumble that set up a William Bowers field goal from 30 yards out.
Northview was able to go on a long drive to trim the EHS lead to 10-7, but William McDuffie scored to increase the EHS lead.
Bowers added a 22-yard field goal late to take a 20-7 lead into the locker room. Elizabethton added a Slagle rushing touchdown as well as a Brycen Blevins 25-yard touchdown pass to Zach Wallin to cap the scoring.
Slagle finished 8-of-15 passing for 114 yards. McDuffie had 102 yards rushing.
