Elizabethton left no doubt on Friday night.
The Cyclones were dominant on both sides of the ball to take a 47-0 victory over Sullivan East in region action.
Elizabethton improves to 5-0 on the year.
It was all Cyclones from the opening kick.
EHS got on the board midway through the first as Jeriah Griffin scored on an 11-yard run. The Cyclone defense set the tone from the early stages, and Zach Wallin nabbed an interception that set up a five-yard pass from Rhett Slagle to Griffin to give Elizabethton a 14-0 lead after the first play of the second quarter.
EHS got back on the board when Zeth Mullins broke free for a 64-yard run.
The Cyclones struck again right before half as Ben Adams blocked a punt, and Griffin caught a 33-yard pass from Slagle. On the final play of the half, Eli Blevins caught a Slagle pass for a 48-yard touchdown to send Elizabethton into the locker room with a 33-0 lead.
The Blevins touchdown was set up by a fumble recovery by Mullins.
It continued to be all orange and black in the second half.
Blevins and Slagle connected for a 37-yard touchdown while Mullins added a 25-yard touchdown to cap the scoring for the game.
Slagle ended the night going 14-of-17 for 246 yards for EHS. Mullins had eight carries for 112 yards, while Blevins and Griffin had 130 and 93 receiving yards, respectively.
Elizabethton finished with 445 yards of total offense.
Sullivan East’s Drake Fisher finished 13-of-33 for 94 yards.
