The Cyclones picked up a key Three Rivers Victory with a big sixth inning.
Elizabethton scored six runs in the sixth inning to roll to a 6-4 victory over Sullivan South on Wednesday night.
The clash went scoreless for five innings before the Cyclone bats came alive in the visitor’s side of the sixth. The Rebels, however, didn’t go quietly as they answered in the bottom of the seventh. However, Elizabethton was able to stop the South rally to take the win.
Michael Robinson was 2-for-3 including a triple in the sixth, while Ethan Eggleston and Gabe Treadway went 2-for-4 at the plate and both added two RBIs.
Garrett Hartley picked up the win on the mound for EHS with five strikeouts. Freshman Corey Russell picked up the save.
