Elizabethton dominated both sides of the ball Friday night.
The Cyclones rolled to a 49-7 victory over Carter in the first round of the TSSAA Class 4A playoffs inside Citizens Bank Stadium.
With the win, Elizabethton advances to take on Anderson County on the road for second-round action.

The Elizabethton defense recorded a fourth down stop and another turnover to keep Carter off the scoreboard early.
Nate Stephens scored on a 10-yard run to open the scoring, and he added a five-yard score later in the quarter to give EHS a 14-0 after a quarter of play.
Cade Russell found the endzone early in the second quarter with a run, while Stephens added his third touchdown of the night as EHS took a 28-0 lead.
After Carter got on the board with a 62-yard touchdown, Stephens broke loose for a 59-yard touchdown as EHS held a 35-7 lead at the half.
Russell opened the third quarter scoring, while Stephens added his fifth touchdown of the night to account for the final score.
The Elizabethton defense had seven sacks and three interceptions in the game.
Stephens finished with 22 runs for 196 yards. Jeriah Griffin had two interceptions to lead the EHS defense.
