The Cyclones used a big second quarter and then held on for the road win Friday night.
Elizabethton captured a 77-64 road win at Johnson County in nonconference action.
A back-and-forth first quarter saw EHS hold a 15-12 lead after a quarter of play. The Cyclones, however, took control in the second as they outscored the Longhorns 24-6 in the frame to take a 39-18 lead into the half.
Johnson County continued to battle as they trimmed the EHS lead to 51-42 after three complete quarters.
Elizabethton took care of business in the final quarter to secure the win.
Nate Stephens had 23 points to pace the Cyclones, while Dalton Mitchell had 22 points. Jackson Hobbs finished with 13 points.
Graham Reece led Johnson County with 15 points, while Eli Dickens added 11 points.
