For the second day in a row, there will be no basketball for Carter County teams.
Due to the snow and ice gripping the region, the District 1-AA and District 1A tournaments have been postponed. Both tournaments had originally planned to play four games today to finish up.
The District 1-A tournament at Daniel Boone will attempt to play four games tomorrow. Cloudland-North Greene girls at 4 p.m., with the consolation game. Following the UH-North Greene boys consolation game at 5:30, the Lady Bulldogs will face South Greene in the girls’ championship game at 7p., with the Hampton boys facing South Greene at 8:30 for the boys title.
The District 1-AA tournament at Sullivan East has been delayed. The current plan is to play all four games on Thursday afternoon. The Elizabethton boys and girls teams are in the tournament championship games, while the Happy Valley girls’ team is in the consolation game.
