Elizabethton picked up a pair of district wins in style.

The Cyclones dispatched Johnson County 67-52 while the Lady Cyclones cruised to a 67-33 victory over the Lady Longhorns.

The EHS boys held a 15-13 lead after the first quarter. Michael Robinson and Corey Russell along with Hayden Townsend hit shots to quickly extend the lead to 10 points. That set the stage for the Cyclones to take a 35-23 lead into the locker room at the half.

Elizabethton’s lead stayed around the 10-point mark for most of the third quarter and fourth until a late run extended the margin.

Robinson led the way with 28 points. Russell added 10 points, and Alex Norwood tallied nine points.

For the girls’ game, it was all EHS from the opening tip.

Elizabethton took control early as they ran out to a 25-3 first-quarter lead. From there, EHS stayed in control as the outcome was never in doubt.

Haley Burleson had 11 points to lead all scorers. Brittany Campbell and Autumn Lyon had eight points apiece.
