Elizabethton remained atop the AP Associated Press Class AA girls’ basketball poll as a unanimous No. 1 selection.
Hampton boys were just outside the top 10 in the Class A boys’ basketball poll as they received votes in the latest poll.
The Lady Cyclones are 17-0 on the season and coming off wins over Daniel Boone, Sullivan East and Sullivan South. Elizabethton is set to travel to Unicoi County on Tuesday before making the short trip to Happy Valley on Friday night.
Hampton boys ranked just shy of the top 10 in the Class A poll. The Bulldogs are 11-6 on the season, and recorded a win over North Greene on Friday night. Hampton was unable to knock off Class AA Grainger also last week.
The Bulldogs are set to host South Greene on Tuesday and set to travel to Cloudland on Friday.
