The Elizabethton football team held steady in this week’s AP poll.
The Cyclones remained ranked No. 2 in Class 4A after last week’s win over William Blount. EHS recorded two first-place votes to tally 178 points in the poll.
Region 1-4A foe Greeneville held down the top spot with 201 points. The Cyclones are set to host Greeneville on Oct. 18.
Haywood County, Anderson County and Nolensville rounded out the top five.
In Class 2A, Happy Valley received votes – 19 points from No. 10 Fairley.
Elizabethton is set to travel to Union County on Friday night, while Happy Valley is going to host Johnson County.
