A strong special teams performance captured the Climate Controllers Player of the Week award for Week 5.

Elizabethton senior William Bowers has been selected as the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for his performance in the Cyclones’ win over Cherokee.

Bowers went 5-for-5 on extra points for Elizabethton. On kickoffs, the Iowa State commit recorded five touchbacks on six kickoffs.

Bowers joins teammate William McDuffie as well as Cloudland’s Grayson Cole, Happy Valley’s Lane Parker and Unaka’s Ashton Fuller, as Climate Controllers Player of the Week selections this season.

Bowers and the Cyclones are set to travel to Northview on Friday night.
