Elizabethton’s Mathes Selected As Climate Controllers Player Of The Week

A strong performance edged out a competitive field for the Week 10 Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Elizabethton’s CJ Mathes has been selected as the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for his performance in the win over Seymour.

Mathes had three touchdowns on the ground for EHS. The junior running back finished with 16 carries for 119 yards.

Mathes joins teammate Rhett Slagle as Clinate Controllers Player of the Week selections this season.

Other nominees include Landon Barnette (Cloudland), Connor McKinney (Hampton), Peyton Townsend (Hampton), Lane Parker (Happy Valley, Keelin Releford (Happy Valley), and Ashton Fuller (Unaka).

Mathes and company are set to travel to Greeneville on Thursday night.
