MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (May 5, 2014) – Katie May of Elizabethton High School has signed with the Milligan College Cross Country and Track and Field program.
May is a four-time conference champion in the 300 hurdles and a two-time conference champion in the triple jump. May finished eighth in the state in 2013 for the 300 hurdles and earned a qualifier for the state championships in the pentathlon.
“Katie brings a range of talent to our program, and she has experience on the biggest stage, which is an important component,” Layne said. “Since she has seen success in multiple events, our biggest goal will be to establish a plan that allows her to settle in and maximize her potential at the collegiate level.”
May’s personal best marks are 47.7 seconds in the 300 hurdles and 34-feet, 7-inches in the triple jump.
