Hampton took care of business on Saturday.
The Bulldogs survived and advanced in the District 1-A tournament with a 10-0 play-in game victory over South Greene. With the win, Hampton advances to take on North Greene on Monday and qualifies for the double-elimination portion of the tournament.
Hampton jumped out early, and never looked back against the Rebels.
Dru Owens, Gavin Hardin, and Jacob Byrd had two hits apiece for Hampton.
On the mound, Wyatt Lyons pitched a gem. The senior struck out seven SG batters and allowed just two hits in five innings of work.
The Bulldogs will take on the Huskies at David Crockett at 7:30 p.m., on Monday.
