The Bulldogs fell 83-62 to Austin East in the Region 1-A Quarterfinals at Austin East on Saturday night. With the loss, Hampton’s season comes to a close.
The Roadrunners jumped out quickly.
AE took a 21-7 lead after a quarter of play to take control. Hampton battled back to nearly match the Roadrunners but the Bulldogs trailed 36-21 at the break.
Chase Davenport had the hot hand for Hampton in the third quarter, while Tuff Robinson and Jayden Nave had big fourth quarters. However, Hampton was unable to rally in the second half.
Davenport led Hampton with 24 points, while Robinson had 16 points. Nave scored 11 points.
