Hampton’s Jones earns Climate Controllers Player of the Week honor

For the second time this season, Hampton’s Conor Jones has been named the Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

The sophomore quarterback earned the Climate Controllers Player of the Week award for Week 8 after his masterful performance against Cloudland.

Jones finished with five total touchdowns – three through the air and two on the ground – for the night. He was 9-of-16 passing for 122 yards.

The quarterback tallied 17 carries for 72 yards.

Defensively, he had an interception and five tackles.

Jones joins Elizabethton’s Bryson Rollins as two-time Climate Controllers Player of the Week honorees this season.

Other selections include Landon Ramsey (Unaka), Eli Ayers (Happy Valley), Hunter Blair (Cloudland) and Triston Lacy (Cloudland).

Jones and company host South Greene in a crucial Region 1-2A tilt on Friday night.
