Hampton’s Townsend Named Climate Controllers Player Of The Week

A strong performance captured this week’s Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Hampton’s Peyton Townsend has been selected as the Climate Controllers Player of the Week after his performance in Monday’s win over Unaka.

Townsend had six carries for 110 yards with three touchdowns in the county clash. The running back scored from a yard out, a 39-yard touchdown, and a 42-yard touchdown.

Townsend joins teammate Dom Burleson as Climate Controllers Player of the Week selections this season.

Other individual honorees include Cloudland’s Grayson Cole, Elizabethton’s Rhett Slagle, Happy Valley’s Gabe McDougald, and Unaka’s Brynin Repass.

Townsend and company are set to take on Eagleton on Friday night in the Clash For Compassion at ETSU.
