The first Climate Controllers Player of the Week honoree edged out a strong list of performances.
Hampton’s Peyton Townsend has been selected as the Climate Controllers Player of the Week for his performance in Hampton’s 60-19 win over Avery County (N.C.).
Townsend finished with 96 yards on 13 carries in the win and finished with three touchdowns.
The running back had a long run of 34 yards and averaged 7.4 yards per carry.
Townsend and company are set to take on Johnson County on Friday night at Happy Valley.
