Happy Valley duo signs with Johnson Univ.

The Happy Valley baseball team saw two seniors unveil their college plans on Tuesday.

Ryne Baines and Timmy Masters signed with Johnson University to continue their playing careers at the collegiate level.

Baines was a first team All-Three Rivers Conference selection last season at first base, and touted a .458 batting average with four homeruns and 36 RBIs. The senior had a .573 on base percentage in his junior campaign with a .626 slugging percentage.

Masters has be a defensive force in center field for the Warriors throughout his collegiate career. He has been successful in 26 out of 27 career stolen base attempts.

Baines is set to major in counseling while Masters intends to major in human services.

Johnson University is in Knoxville and coached by Ben Fair.
