Happy Valley and Unicoi County were unable to out weather Mother Nature on Friday night.
The battle between the Warriors and Blue Devils was declared a no-contest after the teams were unable to resume play shortly after half due to heavy lightning and rain in the area.
The game will not be resumed and stats will not count toward season totals.
Unicoi held a 7-6 advantage at the half. HV got on the scoreboard with a four-yard touchdown by Gabe McDougald. The score was set-up by a long run from Lane Parker.
Happy Valley has a bye week for Week 3 and will return to action on September 13 at home against Hampton.
