MILLIGAN COLLEGE, Tenn. (May 12, 2014) – Happy Valley’s Hunter Buchanan and Matthew Albritton have announced that they will continue their running careers on the collegeitate level as the duo will attend nearby Milligan College.
Buchanan is a sprinter and jumper who holds top 10 finishes in the 2014 Three Rivers Conference meet in the 100-meter dash and triple jump. Throughout his high school career, Buchanan competed in the 100, 200, 400 and triple jump.
Albritton is a distance runner who recently took an 11th-place finish in the mile at the 2014 Three Rivers Conference meet. Albritton’s high school experience saw him compete in everything from the 800 in track to the 5k in cross country.

“Matthew and Hunter are outstanding young men,” Milligan Head Coach Chris Layne said. “We’re excited to get them on campus to develop their talent at the collegiate level. We know they’ll be an extremely good fit on and off the field of play.”Â
