HV Boys, Hampton Girls Claim Wins At EGC

Happy Valley and Hampton claimed wins on the links Wednesday at Elizabethton Golf Course.

On the boys’ side, the Warriors edged out Hampton 210-211 to take the win, while Hampton took a 114-100 victory on the girls’ side.

The Happy Valley boys were led by Colton Pemberton’s nine-hole round of 44, while Colby Chausee fired a 46. James Murray and Tucker Shoun rounded out the scoring with a 59 and 61.

Julian Pate finished with a 62.

Hampton’s Jude Hickman fired a 50 to lead the Bulldogs. Ezra Tolley carded a 52, while Jonah Gable finished with a 53.

Jackson Smith and Korbyn Woodby rounded out the Hampton efforts with a 56 and 63, respectively.

Unaka was represented by a trio of individuals as Mason Wison shot a 43, Gavin Shoun ended the round with a 62, and Sam Lewis had a 63.

Unicoi County Connor Banner fired a 53, and Galen Bradford carded a 61.

On the girls’ side, Macy Henry and Rylie McClain had strong rounds of 50 to lead Hampton. Gracie Burkett finished with a 62.

Unaka’s Laikyn Stevens and Alexa Henshaw each had a 57 to pace the day for UHS, while Emma Taylor and Mollie Buckles finished with 61’s. Amarana Harter fired a 63.

Cayden Anderson was the lone HV representative and finished the day with a round of 61.
