Happy Valley was off and running to open the 2025 season.
The Warriors rolled to a 61-0 victory over Unaka in the season opener at Goddard Field on Friday night.
HV had 267 yards on 17 carries to power an offense that scored 34 points in the opening quarter.
Keelin Releford opened the scoring with a 29-yard touchdown, while Gabe McDougald hit Ron Paul Parker for a 35-yard pass as HV took a 13-0 lead in the opening minutes.
McDougald added a 36-yard touchdown run and a 19-yard strike to Artee Bahn before Releford scored his second of the night to give HV a 34-0 lead after a quarter of play.
Lane Parker and Landon Keller scored on a 38-yard and a 39-yard run for HV, while Carlos Lopez scored on the defensive side of the ball for the Warriors. Landon Keller capped the first-half scoring with a 23-yard touchdown.
The Rangers kept battling with runs from Nick Britt, but Unaka was unable to get into the endzone.
Releford had 72 yards on four carries, while L. Parker had three carries for 63 yards. Keller added 62 yards on the ground. McDougald went 3-for-4 for 67 yards and added 36 yards rushing.
AJ Rangel went 7-of-9 on extra points for the Warriors.
Britt led Unaka in rushing, while Ben Shutko, Asher Dunn, and TJ Parenteau added carries for the Rangers.
