Ayers hit Gabe Nichols with 13.7 seconds remaining to lift Happy Valley to a 14-8 win over the Bulldogs. The quarterback, who came in after half, finished the game 5-of-8 passing – including three straight completions on the final drive.

Ayers joins Elizabethton’s Bryson Rollins and Unaka’s Landon Ramsey as 2019 honorees as Climate Controllers Player of the Week.

Happy Valley is set to travel to Unicoi County on Friday night.
