Wednesday afternoon saw the Hampton girls and Unaka boys pick up wins at Elizabethton Golf Club in prep action.
On the boys’ side, Unaka edged Hampton 208-214 to pick up the win.
Mason Wilson fired a 42 to pace the Rangers, while Brayden Powell carded a 46. Sam Lewis and Gavin Shoun had a 59 and 61, respectively.
For the Bulldogs, Jude Hickman fired a 51 to pace Hampton, while Jonah Gable and Jackson Smith finished the event with a 52 and 55, respectively.
Korbyn Woodby tallied a 56. Ezra Tolley carded a 57.
While Happy Valley didn’t have enough players for a team score, the Warriors were well represented as Colton Pemberton shot a 52 while James Murray had a 55.
Connor Banner and Galen Bradford carded 55 and 57 for Unicoi County.
On the girls’ side, Hampton edged HV 97-108 to take the win. Macy Henry fired a 45 to lead the way for the Lady Bulldogs. Ryle McClain and Gracie Burkett shot a 52 and 60.
Cayden Anderson led Happy Valley with a 49. Hannah Monroe and Grace Hollifield each shot a 59, while Lauren Ward had a 63.
Unaka finished the round with a 113.
Emma Taylor led the Lady Rangers with a 56, and Alexa Henshaw and Millie Buckles each had a 57. Laikyn Stevens and Amarana Harter recorded rounds of 58 and 63, respectively.
Marlee Cornett represented Unicoi County with a 51.
