Elizabethton bounced back in a big way.
The Lady Cyclones rolled to a 53-35 victory over Unicoi County in the District 1-3A consolation game at Tennessee High on Monday evening.
Elizabethton is set to open Region 1-3A tournament play on Friday night with a trip to Grainger.
The Lady Cyclones took control early.
EHS raced out to a 19-9 lead in the first quarter in part due to big shots from Rylee May, Jamira Smalls, and Kaylleyn Nave. EHS pushed the advantage to 27-10 midway through the second and held a 35-17 lead at the half.
From there, the Lady Cyclones were able to roll to the win.
Nave had 12 points to pace EHS, while May and Smalls finished with 11 points apiece. Reagan May added six points.
