Unaka came up short in the District 1-A Championship game on Wednesday evening.
After a thrilling seventh-inning rally to advance to the title game, the Lady Rangers fell 14-3 to North Greene in the final game of the tournament.
Unaka will open the Region 1-A tournament on the road on Monday.
North Greene got on the board first as Matti Phillips hit a sacrifice fly to play Kinlea Eastep as NG took a 1-0 lead after an inning of play.
Unaka saw Devalynn Harter and Kimberly Profitt reach base to open the second, but the Lady Rangers were unable to move the runners.
In the bottom of the second, the Lady Huskies extended the lead to 2-0 as Heidi Trentham scored off a Chloe Keys single.
Unaka battled back in the third.
Emma Taylor opened the inning with a single before Brooklyn Campbell hit a double to give Unaka two runs in scoring position with no outs. The Lady Rangers plated one of the runners in the next at-bat as Katlyn Dugger hit a single to score Taylor, and Unaka tied things up as Campbell stole home.
Kacie Bare hit a two-out double but Unaka was unable to keep the inning going.
Hannah Brooks, Josie Graham, and Loren Blevins crossed home plate for North Greene in the bottom of the third as NG reclaimed a 5-2 lead going to the fourth.
Unaka saw Ariana Collins draw a walk while Khloe Markland recorded a single to get two on base for UHS in the fourth, but the Lady Rangers were unable to capitalize.
In the top of the fifth, Bare hit a single that scored Dugger as Unaka trimmed the lead to 5-3. North Greene, however, scored nine runs in the home side of the frame including a Graham three-run home run to take the win.
Dugger was 2-for-2 with an RBI to pace Unaka. Bare finished the game 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Campbell had two hits. Khloe Markland, Taylor, and Harter each had a hit.
