Happy Valley was unable to keep pace with the Gatlinburg-Pittman offense on Friday night.
The Lady Warriors fell 67-26 to the Lady Highlanders in the Region 1-2A quarterfinals in Gatlinburg. With the loss, Happy Valley’s season comes to a close.
In the first quarter, HV received five points from Cayden Anderson, but GP was able to take a 17-9 lead after a quarter of play. The second quarter saw the Lady Highlanders outscore the Lady Warriors 19-6 to take a 36-15 lead at the half.
Happy Valley continued to battle in the second rhalf but was unable to mount a rally.
Anderson led HV with nine points, while Alex Moore had six points. Aubree Whitehead and Kymber Pruitt had three points apiece.
Maliyah Glasper led Gatlinburg-Pittman with 22 points.
