Happy Valley had their backs to the wall on Wednesday evening. However, the Lady Warriors weren’t ready for their season to come to a close.

HV stormed back to erase a 7-0 lead to take an 8-7 victory over Johnson County in a play-in game of the District 1-AA Softball tournament.

The Lady Warriors advance to the double-elimination portion of the tournament where they will face Sullivan South on Thursday at 7 p.m., at Sullivan East.

In the circle, Abby Holt had a strong showing as she allowed just seven runs on 11 hits.
