Lady Warriors Unable To Keep Pace In Region 1-2A Quarters

Happy Valley was unable to keep pace with a torrid Gatlinburg-Pittman offensive attack on Friday night.

The Lady Warriors dropped a 69-24 decision on the road at Gatlinburg-Pittman in the Region 1-2A Quarterfinals. The loss concludes Happy Valley’s season.

Kadie Bailey and Mailey Guy hit early shots for the Lady Warriors to open the game, but GP held an 18-4 lead after a quarter of play.

HV continued to battle as Marcida Moore scored six points in the second quarter, but the Lady Warriors were unable to trim into the Lady Highlander lead as GP took a 41-15 halftime lead.

The Lady Warriors kept fighting, but was unable to make a run in the second half.

Moore and Bailey had eight points each. Guy scored five points, while Ashlyn Sommers scored three points.
