Cloudland brought back a win on Friday night after a lengthy road trip.

The ‘Landers stormed to a 56-14 victory over Copper Basin in non conference action to close out regular season. Cloudland finishes the regular season with an 8-2 mark.

CHS is set to open the Class A playoffs as a No. 1 seed and will host Midway next Friday with a 7 p.m. kick.

It was all Cloudland against the Cougars.

Jordan Coffey scored on the opening touchdown, and Malachi Benfield hit Triston Lacy to give Cloudland a 14-0 lead.

After Coffey added another touchdown, Lacy ran into the end zone to give CHS a 26-0 lead at the break.

Copper Basin opened the third quarter with a score, but Coffey answered with his third touchdown of the night. The ‘Lander defense got in the scoring act as KJ Arnold recovered a fumble and scored to send CHS into the final quarter up 46-6.

In the fourth quarter, Cloudland recorded a safety to open the period, and Arnold had a scoop and score to account for the scoring.
