The ‘Landers were unable to hold onto an early lead as they fell 74-49 to Cosby in the Region 1-A quarterfinals. The loss brings Cloudland’s season to a close.
Cloudland used a big first quarter from Uriah Jarrett as he scored 12 points in the opening minutes while Bryce Birchfield scored five to give Cloudland a 19-15 lead after a quarter of play.
Cosby opened the second half on a run to take the lead and the Eagles maintained a 37-28 lead at the half.
The ‘Landers continued to battle in the second half but were unable to mount a rally.
Jarrett led Cloudland with 27 points. Nick Caraway added 10 points. Kingston Cole and Birchfield had five points apiece.
Cruz Coggins had 27 points to lead Cosby.
