Cloudland took care of business on the road Friday night.
The ‘Landers rolled to a 35-0 win over Jellico in Region 1-A action Friday night. With the win, Cloudland improved to 3-2 on the year and remained undefeated in region play.
The ‘Landers got on the board early as Landon Barnette scored on a six-yard run with just over seven minutes left to play in the first quarter.
After the Cloudland defense forced Jellico off the field quickly on the first Blue Devil drive of the game, the ‘Landers were stopped inside the Jellico 5 on fourth-and-one.
Cloudland maintained a 6-0 lead after a quarter of play.
The ‘Landers found the endzone on a four-yard carry from Grayson Cole as CHS pushed the lead back to 14-0. After the ‘Landers intercepted Jellico, Barnette scored his second touchdown of the night with 4:24 left to play to take a 20-0 advantage.
Cole capped the scoring in the first half as he scored on a 12-yard run with just over a minute to play in the second quarter.
Bryce Birchfield scored in the opening seconds of the fourth quarter to cap the scoring.
