The Unaka football team will be looking for a new lead.
Steve “Pink” McKinney has resigned as head coach of the program. Unaka Athletic Director Aaron Dugger confirmed the resignation.
The Rangers went 1-9 in the regular season. Unaka forfeited their first-round playoff game this season which led to a two-year playoff ban for the program.
Under the direction of McKinney, Unaka tallied a 22-63 record. McKinney took over the program in 2009.
The Rangers will now begin looking for a new head coach. The job must be posted for 10 days.
