Hampton 8, North Greene 6
Hampton jumped out early and then held on late for a big road win on Monday.
After plating a single run in the top of the first, the Bulldogs added six more to take a 7-0 lead after two complete.
North Greene battled back to close the gap, but Hampton was able to hold on for the win in the closing stages.
Josh Whitson was 3-for-4 at the plate, while Jaden Kuhn had three RBI.
Chance Point had two hits and two RBIs, while Brody Hicks added two RBIs.
On the mound, Whitson struck out 12 batters in six innings of work.
Colton Robbins led North Greene with two hits, while Damin Burns and Tanner Sexton had two RBIs apiece.
Elizabethton 15, Cosby 0
The Cyclones scored early and often to cruise to a run over Cosby.
Elizabethton opened with seven runs in the home side of the first and added six more in the second to take full control.
JD Hooks, Brilee Hurley, Peyton Johnson, Bryson Rowland, and Kaleb Hambrick had two hits apiece with Rowland and Hooks recording three RBIs apiece.
On the mound, Hambrick picked up the win as he struck out five of 10 batters faced.
West Greene 13, Happy Valley 3
Nakota Graham had one hit and scored two runs as the Warriors came up short Monday night.
West Greene plated two runs in the first and three more in the second. After the Warriors saw Graham score a run in the home side of the fourth to trim the deficit, West Greene answered to stop the Warrior rally.
University High 11, Unaka 1
The Rangers were unable to overcome miscues on Monday.
University High was able to take advantage and jump out to a 6-0 lead in the opening inning and kept the Rangers at bay to take the win.
Brayden Powell, Jamol Blamo, and Kyler Townsend each had a hit for Unaka.
Landon Ramsey struck out six batters and allowed just one earned run.
FCA Flames 18, Hancock County 10
The Flames held on for a Monday win.
Shane Keck, Joshua Collins, Chandler Parson and Noah Belcher each record RBIs in the final inning to help the Flames take the win.
Softball
Elizabethton 17, University High 0
The Lady Cyclones rolled to a win on Monday with a pair of six-run innings.
Elizabethton jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the first and pushed the advantage to 12-0 in the third. EHS secured the win with five runs in the bottom of the fourth.
Kenidy Harris and Lela Byrd had two-run home runs apiece, while Ember Jensen had three hits.
Emma O’Quinn had three RBIs.
Happy Valley 6, West Greene 4
The Lady Warriors broke into the win column in a thrilling 6-4 win on Monday.
After the teams were tied at 2-2 after two complete, HV scored three in the bottom of the fourth and another in the fifth to pull ahead to take the win.
Reagan Street and Makayla Miller each had a hit for the Lady Warriors, while Ella Marvel allowed just four earned runs on eight hits for the win.
Johnson County 13, Hampton 1
The Lady Bulldogs were unable to overcome a slow start against Johnson County.
Ryleigh Nickles and Maleah Scalf had three hits a piece for Hampton.
Mattie Jones hit for the cycle for the Longhorns.

Hampton 9, Gatlinburg-Pittman 4
The Lady Bulldogs picked up their first win of the season on Saturday during a play day at Hampton.
After the Lady Bulldogs dropped a hard-fought battle with Avery, Hampton erased an early deficit to take a 5-4 win over the Highlanders from Gatlinburg.
