The Cyclones erupted for four runs in the top of the seventh to take a thrilling victory over Monday evening.
JD Hooks broke a 7-7 stalemate with a double to score Jack Blevins and Rhett Slagle, while Steven Meadows drove in a run and then scored on a wild pitch in the final inning to lift EHS to the win.
Meadows ended the game 2-for-4 with five RBI, while Brayden Buckles and Slagle each had an RBI.
Blevins finished the game with two hits. Buckles, Slagle and Meadows each had a home run.
Bryson Rowland struck out five batters and allowed just six earned runs on five hits in nearly four innings of work.
Happy Valley 11, Hampton 6
The Warriors picked up a district win on Monday night.
The Warriors jumped out to a 6-0 lead before Hampton trimmed the deficit with five runs in the bottom of the second. HV, however, used a methodical approach to slowly pull away from the Bulldogs.
Drew Blevins went 2-for-3 with three RBI to pace the Warriors, while Aiden Hartsook had four RBI. Jamie Esterline and Ty Johnson each added two hits apiece.
Cade Nelson, Jayden Kuhn, and Elisha Henson each recorded a hit for Hampton. Chase Davenport, Gabriel Lyons and Nelson each recorded an RBI.
On the mound, Blevins picked up the win as he struck out eight batters and allowed three earned runs on two hits in 4.2 innings of work.
