Monday Round-up: Elizabethton Falls At Grainger, Warriors Unable To Keep Pace With West Ridge

The Cyclones were unable to bounce back from a slow start.

After Grainger jumped out to a 14-3 lead in the opening quarter, EHS played the Griz even in the second quarter as Grainger held a 28-17 lead at the half.

The Cyclones continued to battle and cut into the deficit in the second half but were unable to rally back in front.

Andrew Barnett had 15 points, while Zack Wallin added nine points. Nathan Bailey and Hudson Pate had seven points a piece.

West Ridge 65, Happy Valley 27
The Warriors were unable to keep pace with West Ridge on Monday night.

The Wolves jumped out to a 21-7 lead after a quarter of play. HV continued to fight but was unable to rally back.

Artee Bahn had eight points to lead HV, while Zack Rose scored four points. Austin Stines and Colby Cash had three points apiece.

Grainger 69, Elizabethton 48
The Lady Cyclones were unable to answer a big third quarter by Grainger.

It was a back-and-forth battle in the opening half as Grainger held a 15-13 lead after a quarter of play, and maintained a 33-28 advantage at the half.

Elizabethton, however, was unable to answer a Grainger run in the third quarter as GHS outscored EHS 23-11 in the frame to take control.

The Lady Cyclones kept battling but was unable to rally in the closing quarter.

Reagan May had 16 points to lead Elizabethton, while Adrian Heading had 11 points. Peyton McGee scored six points for the Lady Cyclones.
