Monday Round-up: Hardin Sets Unaka Single Game Scoring Record; Lady Rangers Roll Past HV

John Hardin had a night for the record books.

Hardin set a new program single-game scoring record with 43 points in the win over a county foe Monday night. The previous record was 41 points and was set by current Unaka Head Coach Aaron Dugger.

Unaka jumped out early as the Rangers took a 16-5 lead in the first quarter and maintained a 31-16 lead at the half.

The Warriors kept battling, but Unaka was able to keep them at bay to secure the win.

Tristan Good added 12 points for Unaka, while Ashton Fuller had five points.

Lane Parker led Happy Valley with 11 points. Jose Wagner added 10 points, while Zak Rose added seven points.

The Lady Rangers started out quickly to roll to a county win.

Unaka scored 22 points to open the first quarter and hold a 22-7 lead after a quarter of play, and then outscored HV 20-3 in the second to take full control.

Michelle Shields scored 18 points to lead Unaka, while Arianna Sutherland added 10 points. Katlyn Dugger scored nine points in the win.

Amila Riddick had eight points to lead HV, while Bailee Jarrett scored six points.
