Hampton 63, South Greene 57
The Lady Bulldogs battled back to rally past South Greene on Monday night.

The Lady Bulldogs jumped out early and held a 20-19 lead after Madi McClain hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to end the first quarter.

South Greene answered with a run of their own as they reeled off an 18-6 run to take a 37-26 lead.

Hampton, however, kept battling and trimmed to deficit to seven points entering the fourth.

Big plays from Taylor Berry and Piper Helle tied the game at 54-54 and the Lady Bulldogs pushed the lead out with a 13-1 run to secure the win.

Berry had 17 points to lead Hampton, while Macy Henry and Helle had 13 points a piece. McClain added 11 points.

Boys
Hampton 67, South Greene 64
The Bulldogs came out on top in a thriller on Monday night.

After Hampton took a 20-10 lead early in the opening minute of the second quarter, South Greene battled back to cut the lead to two before Hampton took a 32-29 halftime advantage.

South Greene jumped out in front in the third before Hampton’s Cadon Buckles gave the Bulldogs a 55-52 lead after three complete.

The teams went back and forth in the final eight minutes with Buckles hitting a shot in the closing seconds to lift Hampton to the win.

Buckles had 27 points to pace Hampton. Hayden Campbell added 21 points.

Geno Carrico had eight points for the Bulldogs.

Copper Kelly had 21 points to lead South Greene.

University High 61, Elizabethton 43
The Cyclones came up short on the road Monday night.

Luke Whaley had nine points to lead Elizabethton, while Dalton Mitchell had eight points.

A.J. Murphy had 16 points to pace UH.
