Monday Round-up: Lady Warriors Drop Two To UH, Cyclones Rally Past Crockett

Elizabethton 9, David Crockett 6
Elizabethton rallied with four runs in the sixth and two more in the seventh to take a crucial district win on Monday.

Crockett held a 6-3 lead entering the sixth innings before EHS started marching back.

Jack Blevins went 3-for-4 with three RBI, while JD Hooks had three hits with an RBI. Evan Chambers tallied two hits and two RBI, while Marshal Holtsclaw added two hits and an RBI.

Steven Meadows and Brayden Buckles each had a hit.

Bryson Rowland picked up the win on the mound as he allowed just one hit and struck out 10 batters in 4.2 innings of work.

Johnson County 13, Happy Valley 3
The Warriors dropped a road district game on Monday.

The game entered the fifth tied at 3-3 but Johnson County plated 10 runs in the fifth to secure the win.

Grady Goulds and Carlos Lopez had one hit and one RBI apiece. Cade Kendall and Lane Parker each added a hit.

Grady Goulds allowed three earned runs on five hits in four innings of work with two strikeouts.

Tri-Cities Christian 7, Unaka 6
The Rangers came up short in Monday action.

Cooper Shanks went 2-for-2 with an RBI to lead the Rangers at the plate, while Brandon Buckles and Timothy Pareenteau each added a hit and an RBI.

Rylan Crabtree also added an RBI for the Rangers.

FCA Flames 10, Hampton 9
The Bulldogs saw a sixth-inning rally fall short.

Hampton entered the bottom of the six trailing 10-4, but the Bulldogs answered with five runs in the frame. The bases were loaded with the tying run on third, but Hampton was unable to plate the baserunners. In the seventh, Hampton saw the tying run get on base, but was unable to move the runner.

Jaden Kuhn went 3-for-5 with four RBI, while Cade Nelson finished 3-for-5 with two RBI. Cash Royston added two hits.

Landon Buchanan added a hit and an RBI.

University High 9, Happy Valley 8
The Lady Warriors dropped a pair of games on Monday to a nonconference foe.

In the first game, Trinity Bowers, Natalie Cline, Alex Moore, and Keira Reece each tallied a hit with Moore recording an RBI when she drove Cline across the plate.

In the second game, HV tried to rally past the Lady Bucs but came up short.

Nicole Williams went 2-for-2 with two RBI. Makenzie Garland, Destanee Irick, and Reece each added a hit and an RBI.

Science Hill 4, Elizabethton 0
The Lady Cyclones were unable to answer late runs from the Lady Hilltoppers Monday afternoon.

Science Hill broke a scoreless game with two runs in the fourth to take the lead and added a run in the sixth and seventh.

Piper Bennett went 1-for-2 or Elizabethton. Lacey Gobble recorded three strikeouts in four innings of work in the pitching circle.

West Greene 6, Unaka 3
The Lady Rangers were unable to answer a five-run sixth inning from West Greene.

Katlyn Dugger went 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Brooklyn Campbell and Saylor Conner each added a hit. Kimberly Profitt added an RBI.

Profitt struck out 12 batters in the pitching circle.
