The Hampton baseball program was unable to keep pace with University School on Monday.
The Bulldogs fell 11-1 in the District 1-A Tournament Championship game at Sullivan East. Hampton is set to open the Region 1-A tournament on Friday.
The Bulldogs struck first as Colby Clark hit a single to centerfield to score Eli Henson. However, HHS was unable to keep the inning going.
The Bucs responded with five runs in the home side of the frame and seized momentum. Hampton continued to battle, but was unable to cut into the deficit.
Clark was 1-for-2 with an RBI. Kasey Gilbert added a hit, while Henson scored a run.
