After a back-and-forth start, Cloudland pulled away to take a county district win over Hampton on Thursday.
The Lady ‘Landers captured a 15-3 win over the Lady Bulldogs in Hampton on Thursday evening.
Cloudland took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first, but Hampton answered in the bottom of the second.
CHS took the lead in the third with six runs and pushed the advantage out with five more in the fourth to take the win.
Willow Bennett went 3-for-3 with two RBI, while Peyton Preswood had two hits and an RBI. Ayla Horney and Eowyn McCoury had two RBI and a hit apiece. Regan Blair and Reagan Turbyfill had a hit and an RBI apiece.
Lauren Smith had a triple for the Lady Bulldogs, while Nalei Deloach had an RBI. Hannah Smith, Lillian Andrews, and Kiera McKinney scored runs for Hampton.
